It's Summer (I love Summer!), and I had some fun filming this down at the White Rock Pier. The market is surprising as, during the spring, the market activity dropped significantly, but it seems to have stoked it over the long term.
Prices across all property prices in South Surrey/White Rock have increased by 21.4%. Sales have increased by 78.1%. There are many reasons for the increase in activity. A recent survey by Mortgage Professionals Canada indicated that 14% of renters planned to purchase a home within the next 12 months. Other reasons included that people were no longer satisfied with their home and wanted to live in a nicer home now that there is a pandemic. The low-interest rates make it attractive.
